Do you think about making homemade ice cream and then stop yourself because you think it will be too difficult or time consuming?
Think again!
This 3-4 ingredient homemade ice cream is a breeze, pun intended...breeze=cold=freeze=freezer=ice cream!
Homemade Ice Cream
Ingredients:1 Can/container of sweetened condensed milk *Nature's Charm, Santini and Wholesome Pantry are examples of more organic options
1 container of heavy whipping cream- * Organic Valley makes a great, natural whipping cream
Freeze dried strawberries 1/2-3/4 cup
*Fresh diced strawberries (optional but will add even stronger strawberry flavor)
Directions:
Mix the condensed milk and heavy whipping cream together in a bowl. Add mixture to a hand or stand mixer bowl. Blend/mix until you have light to medium "peaks."
Transfer the almost ice cream mixture to a freezer safe bowl (approximately 16 oz. size). Add your freeze dried and/or fresh strawberries and blend together. Seal and place in the freezer for 3-4 hours. You will likely have more of a "soft ice cream" consistency. If you prefer a hard ice cream consistency, freeze overnight.
Get that ice cream scooper ready and dig in! Best of all, there are NO artificial ingredients.
*Makes approximately 8 servings (depending how much self control you have!)
